This 36 page book is an early example of Herman de Jong as do-it-yourself publisher. How many of these books are still around and possibly even being used is not known, although Herman did have some confirmation of its use many years after its publication. This book was published at the tail end of his teaching career. The library card attached to the back of the book indicates some longevity. The introduction on the inside cover is reproduced here and then there are links to reproductions of selected songs. The 'Bible Songs' setting of 'The Annunciation' still comes immediately to my mind whenever I hear or read that Bible text.
